State-of-the-art technology and expertise regarding the treatment and management of ocular diseases, eye infections and injuries, peri-operative care, and laser surgery continue to be Dr. Paul Tisdal’s specialties. Prior to welcoming new patients to the practice in 1981, Dr. Tisdal earned his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. His undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma was awarded in 1976. With deep family roots in western Oklahoma, Dr. Tisdal is passionate about providing custom care and exceeding the community’s expectations.

Dr. Tisdal maintains professional affiliations with the American Optometric Association, the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the College of Optometrist in Vision Development. Dr. Tisdal’s professional accomplishments were honored as an inductee into the Pioneers in Optometry Hall of Fame in 2008. He has served as President of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and twice for the Weatherford Rotary Club. He is passionate about patient education and continues to present lectures about ocular disease, laser vision correction, children’s vision, and sports vision.

Dr. Tisdal and his wife Jan celebrated 32 years of marriage, and are proud of their children Bo and Taylor. Each are avid supporters of Weatherford and Southwestern Oklahoma State University academic and athletic programs.
